We’re getting our dose of vitamin D as the sun shines through the windows on our third floor, which I affectionately call the “tree house” due to the large spruce trees in our back yard. The girls just finished quiet time and nap time. I’ve put on a show as they lay on my bed to watch and just be near me. We played outside all morning in the fresh snow. I’m crafting away, using the Cricut to create simple valentines for the school this week. We’re going to make mochi donuts this afternoon, too.
That said, I’m nursing a cold, with the most annoying dry cough, and generally feel exhausted as my husband has been away since Wednesday. It was such a busy, but fun, week with activities and two birthday parties thrown into the mix. Luckily the kids are not sick. I cancelled swim lessons this afternoon so we could stay home. I also told my husband to get a taxi home from the airport. I’m not getting in the car. There is literally a foot of snow surrounding it and I have no energy to shovel.
